The weather is hot and humid, 85 degrees. I have a new tent which is smaller and lighter. When i finish my walk in June, i will only be taking just what i need. I have two plans for staying in West Union.

If plan (A) doesn’t work out, then i will use plan (B). Plan (B) calls for me camping out beside the rail trail at the football feild. Also, if i use plan (B), on June 20th, i am planing on making walk from plan (B) to Central Station Tunnel go through the tunnel and camp out at mile marker #50. If it is only one mile, which trail map says it is, if plan (A) is still available, it will stop at the Allices and eat breakfast. Go up to the parsonage and talk to the pastor

As I write  this, it is only one mile from West Union to Central Station The camp site is right before i get to the tunnel ,according to the rail trail map. I will spend the day exploring the rail trail. Taking photos and video. Be back in time for evening service.

This page will be for all of my photographs and videos of my walk. The start date will be June 19th ,2012 weather pending. Instead of writing a book about my, i will be writing a journal.

One of my goals are,  i want to talk to as people as i can about cancer. I am a 17 year thyroid cancer survivor. During those 17 years, they have come a long way in cancer research.

I feel that one way to beat cancer is catch it early. When i had thyroid cancer, it was in stage one, but it hasn’t spread anywhere. I had surgery and then a month  later  iodine radiation.  I am synthroid and at least twice a year, have to have blood work done.

While i am training, i will be taking photos and hopefully videos. When I finish my walk, i will be walking from Salem, WV to West Union, WV and back to Salem,WV If you would like more info you can contact at.

I hope to finnish my walk next week, May 15th, or 17th,18th, 19th, or 20th.  If i am unable to finnish my walk due to weather, I will spend one day at Vetrans Park. The trail there is 1.7 miles.  Walk around that, 5 times that will make 8.5 miles. This alternate plan, sounds like the best plan.

I will keep the followers updated.

During my walk, i walked along the Rail Trail, coming from east to west will see a gate  across the trail where you will cross the hard top road and then stay on the trail and walk about one mile and you will come to Legacy Inn just about 20 feet nice hotel and is on the left.  The rates are very nice and rooms are too.
